Roya graduated with a combined Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts – Psychology from Macquarie University, Sydney, and holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law. Roya is admitted to practice as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia. Roya is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, and the Women Lawyers Association of New South Wales.
Prior to joining O’Sullivan Legal, Roya worked with Judges of the Family Court of Australia (as it then was) gaining extensive exposure to courtroom advocacy and valuable insight into the inner workings of the family law system.
Roya regularly appears at the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and at mediations representing clients in a broad range of disputes across the spectrum of family law matters, including parenting and property matters.

Roya provides practical, tailored advice with a focus on reaching effective resolutions. Roya is committed to assisting clients in achieving commercial, pragmatic, timely and cost-effective outcomes.
Roya’s background in psychology allows her to approach family law issues from a distinct perspective. She understands that the process of separation and divorce can be stressful. Roya is empathetic and strives to help clients navigate the process as successfully and harmoniously as possible.
Roya also conducts conveyancing and property transaction matters, enabling clients to finalise their property settlements.
